this is the conservative plan for public schools, redirect resources from teachers to cops, then the prison-like environment prompts middle class parents to instead opt for private schools, further starving the public schools of support and resources.

And encourages homeschooling. Homeschooling is a big hidden part of the reactionary agenda because it serves dual purposes: 1) children cannot escape the direct influence of whatever their parents want them to believe, far more even than a religious private school; 2) forces women to stay home

It's the conservative plan for all public services. Make the service so shitty that people start to call for a replacement; offer up a short-term private replacement; then sit by as that private replacement exploits the people. The UK is doing it with the NHS.
