My dad flew with me to Edinburgh. He panicked slightly when, upon being greeted by a helpful volunteer from the university, my only response was "Huh?" 😂 (I could write beautiful essays in flawless English. Took me a year or two to be comfortable speaking it, or to understand Scottish accents...)

Budapest, Hungary (Go visit some day. It's a beautiful city.) But as of last autumn(?), St Andrews, Scotland is the place I've lived the longest. Which blows my mind. OK, my family took a break from Budapest when I was little... but I was an adult when I left Hometown for Scotland 😭

💯 Also: slow people who walk two/three abreast or meander in the middle of the pavement so I can't overtake. I HATE folk who can go through their lives being so unaware of strangers. (How can you exist in a crowd and NOT be entirely focused on getting the hell out of it? 😭)
