Would CA really ignore Supreme Court rulings? Even from an illegitimate court? Or ignore a national abortion ban? Itās hard to picture. We are endlessly law abiding.
How do you save institutions when to protect them you have to set aside the norms they require? I honestly donāt know.

Dems havenāt built a bench of younger politicians and treat the newcomers like rabble rousers. They should be welcoming AOC and crew as the lifeblood they are, but instead the run octogenarians and stifle opportunities for every other generation

Agree, but we also try to respect the law and our institutions. Dems try to win by going back to how things worked rather than going forward to something new. Ex. Not adding justices to the court even after Republicans cheated to steal a seat.

Today I was reminded of jeans shopping in Paris. I had the gap in the back and asked the sales lady if they had something that would fit better.
She replied, āwith your haunches and your sway back we have nothing for you.ā
I looked up the word haunches because of course it sounds like all vowels

New York Times, 1922, sounding suspiciously and familiarly credulous: "But several reliable, well-informed sources confirmed the idea that Hitler's anti-Semitism was not so genuine or violent as it sounded, and that he was merely using anti-Semitic propaganda as a bait to catch masses of followers"

Very true. If you wanted to comment on the article to say that, I think people would find it useful.

Iām nervous to share, but today @briankardell interviewed me at #BlinkOn about the History of the Web, blended with my own history. It was a fun conversation, even if it weird to talk about myself rather than nerd stuff. vimeo.com/871529859/a4...

My neighbor tore down his garage this week and we were both surprised to discover that there was no actual fence between our houses. What I thought was my fence was just the rickety 100 year old back wall of the building he tore down. This explains a lot about my dog escaping.
