What are the odds Ms @MaritStiles & Ms @BonnieCrombie prioritize the future of Ontario, before what remains of public institutions & welfare, are fully handed over to Ford’s private, wealthy donors - by running only one centre/left candidate per riding, so as no to split the vote

Isn’t it odd those hundreds of millions in savings for developers, hasn’t reduced the cost of new construction homes?
It’s almost like Pr Ford planned to fill the pockets of his wealthy donor friends, at the public’s expense.

In Canada, we have an opposition leader who has promised to use Notwithstanding Clause to impose his will on Canadian policies & law.
South of the border, we have a SCOTUS which just blessed Presidents’ free rein & power to impose his/her will on America.
Be afraid. Very afraid

How is it a populist province keeps voting in authoritarian governments seizing all the freedoms from communities.
Freedoms which are supposedly populists’ raison d’être.
Are they even thinking through their votes?

I’m still gobsmacked by Andrew Coyne’s delusional celebration that the far right hadn’t taken a foothold in Canada.
Has he any sense how entitled, ludicrous an opinion he has published during the same week that racist, xenophobic, far right hate van traversed Toronto sts?

Cue business & industry’s framing of being asked to provide evidence of claims made in advertising or web sites, as “freedom of speech”.
You know who else used that tactic - Donald J Trump.
Heaven forbid we hold folks accountable for false claims

What’s more important?
To allow PM Trudeau the opportunity to hold onto the crucial legacy he will leave behind, one which focused on creating greater equity for all Cdns, incl Indigenous communities?
Or for him to hang on & possibly go down in smouldering defeat?

If you’re an LPC supporter, now is not the time to make excuse. You’re doing yourself and LPC Govt a disservice.
Many Cdns have tuned out PM Trudeau, and blame him for their frustrations. Often for things out of anyone’s control.
Rightly or not, it’s simply the case.
