I gotta say that people are having a lot of trouble distinguishing cognitive decline (Trump) from age-related changes in expression (Biden). Biden is elderly and talks like it. Trump literally does not have preserved reality-testing

Even if you’re correct, what matters in an election are people’s perceptions. The massive swathes of voters who are convinced Biden is unfit for the job aren’t going to be convinced by anything other than a non-geriatric candidate.

Also pretty much ALL the comparative analysis I’m seeing is focusing exclusively on superficial appearances and how loud people talk. NOTHING about actual words and actions. You know, the things that MATTER. This is shallow and dumb and I’ve stopped taking anyone seriously if that’s their focus.

I would have 100% agreed with you before the debate. Watching the debate….well, if you’ve lost a loved one to dementia, it felt uncomfortably familiar - like the decline has started. Hopefully this is just typical age related decline. A full neuropsych eval would tell the story.
