I started out thinking Biden had to stay in the race. Over the last week I've been persuaded the best path forward (there no *great* paths) for saving our democracy is for Biden to step down and for Kamala Harris to take over. This should be soon. Harris will carry forward the #BidenBoom.

Sadly, I fear way too many of us (and I include myself in this category) will spend more time worrying on the Internet than doing much that will help elect Democrats and defeat Trump and his enablers.

To me it is understandable but nonetheless "cope" to dismiss concerns as the product of a bad-faith media frenzy -- and not Biden confirming people's worst fears in a debate that his campaign had cast as a chance to reset the race, not to "just" lose a couple points in the wake of.

In 2016 the grab-them-by-the-pussy tape led to intense pressure on Trump to step down. He didn't, though a shred of decency would have led him to do so. Republicans would have lost big if he had, just as Dems have lost badly every time they foolishly attack their own presidential candidate.
