Gentle hands, and the heart of a fighter
Oh! In that case yeah I'd guess it's just blasting straight out of the water supply line. I haven't used those before but that sounds like more force than your average - or at least less control over the force than I'm used to
You don't *need* to slam into the ceiling but I find that a lot of them can at full blast. Something with a wide range of pressures can be good
A little force is nice, but no need to let it cause discomfort. More important is a *focused* stream of water that hits the target w/o splashing everywhere
shaking my fist at Isaac Newton upon learning that motherfucker has been keeping me tethered to earth my whole life, from beyond the grave, through sheer force of will
what's that, bro? honestly, no, i'm thriving. yeah. my skin is radiant. my theme music just like doubled in tempo. i even just got a SECOND health bar outta nowhere. i don't think i've ever felt better tbh
We just walked out for the rest of the week as part of our fight for a fair contract at Gannett.
We've got a lot of coworkers who are stretched pretty thin financially - it's a huge reason we're organizing.
Anything you can contribute to take the sting out of walking out helps💖
I guess really the heart of what I'm saying is that I've made broad assumptions in the past about what "everyone" knows about an actor or a creator and found later that it was more tightly bound to my various subcultures than I had realized
That's fair. I don't know. I'd assumed "everyone" knows, but the guy spends a lot of time mugging in documentaries. Maybe there's a disconnect about how bad or how serious it is.
But also I think there are people (like my sister) who are Trekkie-adjacent without actually being in the weeds? idk
I'm always surprised by people who aren't as Online as I am. My sister got me tickets to a local comic-con where he was appearing. It was an incredibly sweet gift that I really enjoyed but she was extremely confused about why I wasn't losing it for Shatner compared to some of the other guests
i recently had a conversation with The Kid about divorced men in the 2000s and i think it's a clear throughline from Phil Collins to our current dire straits

I do plan to be a little obnoxious about this, apologies in advance. But our shop is a big piece of Gannett. Raising wages at our website (and throwing support behind local papers that are also bargaining) helps raise the floor at the largest U.S. journalism corp, which affects the field as a whole

it's so good in so many ways. I watched it for the first time a couple of days ago and I was absolutely blown away. Firing on all cylinders, especially for a debut film
oh geez, yeah i can imagine
My mom's got a fibromyalgia diagnosis and others in my family (and probably me) are hardcore suspected for EDS. I haven't had to deal with a ton of the drawbacks to that yet but I've watched what my mom has dealt with for decades and i'm sorry
see that's actually kinda part of what I was thinking! X-Men has definitely shown us enough folks who are incapacitated or unsafe to be around others because of their mutation that you know at least one or two of the writers has thought in that direction
Logan's one of the lucky ones
I never read the Old Man Logan stuff because Mark Millar is a doofus but I do wonder if any of that was covered in there?
Otherwise I'd have to imagine that if he's got one thing you think of as his superpower, he's got other stuff compensating. Like how Flash doesn't get ripped apart by wind shear
Over the weekend, I found a tiny pink plastic shoe on the ground near my office.
I placed it at eye level, on a wooden post, by the stairs.
This morning, on that same post, was this picture.
If someone blocks me, I block em back on account of I don't want em lifting that block to see all the fun I'm havin
Like, nah, you made your choice babe, stay over there
huge fan of "we intentionally designed Rigel so that there's no way to deny that he's a puppet because we want you to know how fucking good we are at Puppets"
