I welcome masking options provided by organizers. But this: “pls mandate masking if you are organizing a protest. you do not care about your community if you don't care about protecting each other from covid.” Is toxic, exclusionary, counterproductive, anti-communitarian bullshit.

To the extent people are saying more or less this, they’re in two main categories: 1. People who just don’t know/understand the ramifications. (This is the vast majority) 2. The very small minority who are rich and white enough to be pretty certain it will be true for them. IOW: dilettantes.
