Pretty similar except my family will wear masks if they come over & we wear them when we go there. Significant holidays we all take a rapid test the day of & enjoy the day. But next day we’re right back to masking. I’m super surprised my family does this for me. But I was BAD off the 1 x I got it.

I have finally crunched the numbers for my data on 100 episodes of Father Brown. The chapter at this point is writing itself. It is lining up with past and current research on stereotypes and the discrimination atheists and other nones face.

I’m really glad I followed my gut and took the time to add the dimension of writer and director to my analysis. Preliminary results show there is a correlation between writers and the representation of nontheists in Father Brown. Causality I can’t pin, but there is def a correlation.

Of course Lou Malnati’s made it on the list! It is a superb pizza, but I recommend the namesake The Lou. I would normally dislike the ingredients of The Lou on any other pizza, but for some reason it just works well together in this pizza. Also, you can get it gluten free & it’s just as good!

I’m glad I followed my gut instinct to ignore my optometrist’s dismissal of my double vision, saying if I wear my glasses long enough it’ll stop. My neurologist was not happy w/ that their assessment. She has referred me to a neuro ophthalmologist & wants an MRI as a precaution. Feeling optimistic!

My latest wild black raspberry pie. I made it for my parents and my mom said it’s too beautiful to eat 🤣 I will be making a Doctor Who themed pie for myself. I would love to do a Father Brown one, since that is my current research but that seems difficult.

With Alana’s help I was able to track down the name of the report but unfortunately it is not digitized ☹️Statistics for belief in God or affiliation is scant before the mid 1900s—especially inmates!

#Academics I’m an independent researcher and need access to the 1906 House of Commons Parliamentary Papers from 1906. I found a reference that religious affiliation was tallied for prisoners. I’m not sure the numbers are in there but would love to know.

When I had my pericardial cyst removed from my heart back in 2009 I asked the doc to take a picture of it for me. He laughed and said sure. I went home with a picture of my deflated blob and I was happy. Surgeons get asked all sorts and they are usually very obliging. 2/2

My spouse came home yesterday from a cervical disc replacement where the doc removed hardware from a previous cervical fusion. They asked the doc if they could have it. Took the doc by surprise & said he would ask the nurse—he is young, this happens quite often. 1/2
