Wall to wall coverage of Trump could maybe - MAYBE - drive his polls down a bit. But if Biden is not perceived by a handful of voters in 4 states and don't vote, then coverage doesn't matter, and so far, Biden's self-inflicted wound isn't closing up
One reason is the "Never Ending Story" the media plays, repeating the speculation that there's rampant speculation about Biden, anonymous sources speculating on the speculation, etc.
Like a dog that will not let go of the fucking bone.
Right. And they're not going to watch the Stephanopoulos interview just as they didn't watch his past interviews or past SoTUs, so is the $50 million ad spend in July going to get to those voters in key battleground states ... or what specifically would?
Replacing Biden with Coherent Candidate X immediately puts Trump’s (alleged) dementia front and center in this campaign, with mental fitness as a prime disqualifying issue.
Unless Joe has another major gaffe, there's no way another Dem could step in and hope to win. Joe's campaign and the party know this.
Trump is a train wreck. Project 2025 is scaring people. Let them continue to destroy GOP.
Hearing it and seeing it on partisan cable news stations, who all preach to their respective choirs, isn’t enough. His egregious statements need to be seen, heard, & analyzed on national & local news —like ABC,CBS, NBC and NPR. Not everyone has cable. Add billboards on every major highway to that.
Perceptions are in part a feature of how the media shapes these stories. Saying this is all on Biden is not a full analysis--some of this is ginned-up controversy.
I am but a simple peasant with an average at best intellect, but wouldn’t it be responsible to shine a light on the fact both candidates are old men with feeble minded moments? Then you could actually talk about their differences. You know, like one wants to end democracy as we know it and one doesn’t.
