ok but seriously nut up. nobody here loves biden. I’d rather vote for a sentient captcha machine that electrocutes my eyeballs every time I tag all the bicycles and it thinks I missed a fuckin train wheel. but that’s what we got and if you want to live in a fantasy I have no time for your ass

She’s been VP for four years. This isn’t like starting fresh with Jared Polis. The unsophisticated voter is being hammered with memes and TikToks showing Biden looking like a corpse. The unsophisticated voter thinks Trump is the fun guy who gave them stimmies.

Anyone who’s still running with “Kamala the Cop” bullshit isn’t voting for Biden anyway.

So much current Biden support is really based in anti-Trump animus. Harris would inherit that support, with the ability to build on the depressed polling of AA and Gen Zs that Biden currently has no chance of corralling.

Feels like a Kamala 2024 run could make a ton of hay with the “black jobs” gaffe. The ads write themselves.

There’d be a lot of hand-wringing and then Kamala would do one rally where she’d be buoyant and electric and everyone (except for the pundit class) would jump on board. In a month, she’ll be doing events with Taylor Swift and Cardi B and we’ll forget this ever happened.

I think Dem voters would get over their hesitations with Harris the minute they saw the contrast in energy and enthusiasm she’d display at campaign rallies, etc. Her events as the VP candidate were surprisingly electric. And, her prosecuting Trump on the debate stage would be awesome.

If you want to see all those anti-Trump/Nikki Haley holdouts run to their polling places to vote straight-ticket R, have the Dems run a 1. Woman 2. Who happens to be black.

Pix, everyone *supports* a ceasefire. No one does anything to make it happen. Bernie among them.

Would love to see Newsom or Shapiro against Trump. Would have loved it even more back in January. Feel like making that switch now is deeply problematic because of the Kamala factor. Dems would be savaged from the left and the right, even more than they are now.

Pix, he kinda did. The man is a US Senator, and has been for a long time. He’s been in Congress for 34 years. He’s been a part of every piece of legislation supporting Israel for three-plus decades.

As usual, Bernie (from his safe-safe blue seat) gets to issue consequence-free statements from his Lake Champlain manse while doing nothing of substance to act on those statements. The ultimate finger-wagger.

Clearly horrific and Netanyahu should be brought before the Hague tomorrow. But, Trump winning just ensures the West Bank ends up a lucrative Kushner/Saudis real estate development within a year’s time. So maybe check your morals.

The “people in power” that kept Bernie from being the candidate also happily kept the Sanders campaign alive and viable in 2016. Those “people in power” want Trump and his tax cuts to win, and Bernie was a useful tool in that effort. Do not likewise be a useful tool.

Agree with you on this and wish to high heavens there was someone ready in the bullpen, but all of the Dem bullpen depth is still in double-A waiting on 2028. It’s Joe or Kamala. We’re either fucked or kinda fucked and have to hope for the best.

Every social media post whinging about Biden that doesn’t also include a solution to the Biden problem is a post that explicitly helps the Trump Campaign. You are doing the exact same work as a Russian bot farm. If you want Trump to win, keep doing what you’re doing.

Just give us a name. One name. We’re all about solutions here, unless you’re just trying to help Trump win. You know, like you did in 2016.

Where has Bernie succeeded in making this “popular policy” happen? And how is replacing Biden with Bernie addressing age concerns?

If the Dems come out Monday and say Kamala is replacing Biden I’d be all about it, but as 2016 showed us, the country is even more misogynistic than it is racist, and Kamala gets dinged on both fronts, and that’s before we get to her corporatist, police state record. Just no easy answers rn.
