As the resident of a different desert city that relies somewhat on the same water source, believe me, it’s maddening. We banned front lawns and were at the head of the curve on reclaimed water. They’re doing *waves hands frantically* gigantic fountains and fake Venetian canals and lawns…

Our family “barf bowl” is the rectangular plastic bin you get at the hospital (eg ours had diapers in it when we had our kids, but they’re also used for sponge baths, etc., for any hospital visit). Keep just one in your life and make it the exclusive barf bowl. No one will ever cook with it.

The other guy is a sex pest, convicted criminal, and tax dodger, and he would be delighted if your entire staff was hacked up with a bone saw. But Biden has a stutter…oh no!

I was in northern Wisconsin a few weeks ago and passed a billboard that was just a photo of Epstein and Trump together, with the words “Please Remember.”
Between that and the lack of Trump regalia on roads and vehicles (compared to my visits in earlier years), I think a switch flipped in WI.

I don't want some egghead bureaucrat telling me whether there's poison in the water I drink. Ideally I'd want that decided by a 29yo judge who went to a "biblical law school" and does not believe dinosaurs existed, and then to have that decision reaffirmed six years later by the Supreme Court.

I mean, you’d need this circuit, right? The case load alone…

I’m in Tucson so I feel rage every time I pass the green courses in the foothills (water use PLUS removal of our precious saguaros).

Yep. There were actually two simultaneous recalls, one because all-weather mats caused two deadly crashes, and one because of a “sticky” accelerator (which didn’t cause major crashes, just slowed the rebound of the pedal when you took your foot off).

I don’t think the “receipts” are the company’s, I read them as the PAC’s receipts (and therefore redundant), which of course means you’re correct that that it’s confusing and awkward. :)

It’s redundant. Received…in receipts.

Arizona was on the charter train 25 years ago and is also the home of BASIS. If you don’t get a suggestion in the comments I’d check profs in the ed schools at ASU, U of A or NAU, or someone in Gov. Katie Hobbes’s admin (fmr Sec of Ed). Not the current Sec of Ed—he’s bananas.

It’s a concurrence because what the prosecutor did was still wrong under Williams. He very strongly disagrees with the majority.

In fact, that’s how smaller governments (states) do it all the time. Some bill’s statement of purpose will say “this is in response to the case This v. That.”

But seriously, it’s a dry heat! I’m in Tucson, which is cooler and cools off better because it’s not a concrete island, but my kids just got out of the pool and immediately had chattering teeth. That humidity (or lack of it) makes a gigantic difference!

Maybe not in as many words, but I think they’ve basically admitted it. I’m still surprised NYT said “racist” instead of a euphemism like “antiquated.”

I do swear by the Sunday Afternoon hats with extra neck coverage. I hate having to fully sunscreen just to walk my dog in the morning, but I live in AZ, so I wear my hat and a long sleeved shirt (really, any long sleeved shirt) basically year-round.

I don’t have a specific brand because they seem to all work > sunscreen. My one tip is to a get few and see what you like for your purpose—loose is comfiest and perfect if you’re just getting wet but not swimming, tight is necessary if you’re fully swimming or surfing (but sweaty for, say, hiking).

Last time I checked, my pharmacy had cards in the aisle and you would take one to the pharmacist to get the actual medicine.
Which actually isn’t weird anymore because I have to ask for help just to unlock the nail polish.

I had a coworker who was big into Lost and would constantly speculate. As an Alias fan, I kept telling her there was no plan and there were no answers, but I still held out hope…
