Burning coal is the most dirty, polluting, and inefficient way to get electricity.

As early as 1306, Edward I banned Londoners from burning it, due to its noxious smog.

So which countries are phasing it out the fastest now?

Greece and the UK lead the way!

In the years after Trump's tax cuts, S&P 500 corporations spent $2.72 trillion on stock buybacks to enrich wealthy shareholders. That's more than what they spent on investments in plants and technology to boost production and create jobs. So much for trickling down, huh?

Tackling extreme heat calls for radical new ideas.

In India's case, an innovative insurance program to help women get paid for not working during the hottest hours in this year's brutal heatwave. The payout was triggered when Ahmedabad breached 43.6°C.

I enjoyed this different take on the housing crisis and the role YIMBYism could play, but also concur with Waldman that upzoning won't affect housing affordability and that mass social housing construction is needed - see some references in:

this is a great post that counterpoises a priori marxist theorizing with actually existing empirical reality (single family zoning edition), and explains why yimbyism is winning across the nation:
