This is a subtweet about Frankenstein because I don't want to be a dick, but I also want some facts out there. 1. Most novels at the time were anonymous. We can't make definite judgements about why Mary Shelley's name wasn't on it. It was common practice. The novel was barely respectable. 1/?

O'Neil is not talked about enough. I think he's seen as the last of the old guard that was swept away by Miller, Moore, Gaiman, Nocenti, et al but his Batman, Iron Man, and Daredevil runs laid the groundwork, and established how to write these characters with some grit again.

Recently, I was peer reviewing a paper, and it cited one of my papers. Except... it wasn't anything I had written. The title sounds like something I'd write. It included coauthors I work with, and was in a journal I've published in. But it wasn't real. AI is not good for science.
