I'm super curious to read some now. Is "do androids dream of electric sheep" a good place to start or is there something that's more on the theme?

Purely my opinion but no: DADOES was written during his peak “cranking out 5 novels a year on meth to pay the bills” period, was basically a mashup of two earlier short stories, and wouldn’t be considered notable if they hadn’t adapted it into a movie. Start with “UBIK” or “Eye in the Sky.”

Yes, I'd agree that that's the best place to start. A Scanner Darkly would be a good one after that. The Man in the High Castle is good, too, though more unusual in the catalogue.

I think his short stories are the place to go rather than his novels, Ubik apart
