We're leaving town for two-and-a-half weeks a week from Friday. We thought we had plenty of time to work with. But instead it's coming right down to the wire. I am displeased.

6. It shows up at the store ... broken. Order is canceled, we re-place it 7. We get word that the reordered toilet has arrived and they provide us with an installation date. That was SUPPOSED to be tomorrow 8. Today, we get word that the installation has been pushed back until next Tuesday!!!

4. Plumber says we can get a better-priced toilet through his company. We spend a few days following that lead, but the price isn't actually much better; plus it's not the toilet we want 5. We order the toilet we want from a different chain, also w/installation (this time getting delivered to store)

Sequence of events: 1. We order toilet from major chain, w/installation 2. Toilet tank + seat arrive, but not bowl. Plumber shows up to install, can't do anything and leaves. Bowl arrives later that day 3. Plumber comes back a few days later, opens box and finds bowl is broken. We initiate return

We’ve finally finished our Great British Bake-Off watch-through, and I managed to only spoil one* winner for myself. Honestly, not bad. *There was a season where I’d seen a contestant described as a “finalist,” so I figured he wasn’t going to win, but I at least didn’t know between the other two
