I probably won't write this but I had a sudden strike of inspiration for a very silly fic set in MDZS/CQL canonverse: The side room in the discussion conference where all the artisans for the sects get together to discuss color schemes and logos to make sure no one's branding overlaps too badly

Yeah, I think some of it is we expect a person who has the capacity for empathy (as present in the making of art, since so much of it is trying to share experiences) to... not be a horrible fucking person, but people also have the capacity to be assholes so it comes across as more of a betrayal
