I find that when teaching I’ll pepper in a little “there’s still resistance remaining here (and therefore jihad markers) bc the city still feels emboldened by this muslim lord’s presence (and his standing army one would think)”. I think the game is rich with story once you can “read” it.

The Taifa Politics rules are pretty difficult to parse. The aids are helpful but written in a sparse language can *feel* strange. I actually think Almoravid would benefit not just from playbook, but from a little narrative for each of the rules to understand what’s happening with each little step

Any time my partner gets out of the shower she looks radiant, rejuvenated; the embodiment of clean-When I get out of the shower I am cold; wet. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I simply kneel down, let the noise of the water encapsulate me and shield me from the world and don’t use soap.
