Of course! Art is among many other things the meeting point of material reality with the more abstracted realm of human creativity (not that I need to tell a visual artist that lol). Oddly, I find that people generally underestimate the former. Such is the force of the cult of genius.

Extremely obvious one but with so many stone-dumb classical-art accounts going on about the degeneracy of modern art like the unreconstructed Nazis they are, art begins to move away from realist representation and into abstraction when it does because of the development of photography.

Not just an American phenomenon either. Conservatives in Canada blame absolutely everything they don't like on Justin Trudeau and the Liberal federal government, even (especially) things that they are very plainly the responsibility of often Conservative provincial governments or municipalities.
