everyone knows that the shadows cast by tall buildings are a terrible burden on their neighbors. the externality destroys the whole value of the building. this is why no one wants to live in manhattan
I think I don’t know enough to explain why, but it does seem odd how Houston has massive parking lots for every store and a lot of places nothing is walkable and they don’t use UP and it’s a pain in the ass. And then the traffic.
i lived in the literal shadow of the world trade center from '98 until '01 when it fell, and at the time i couldn't bring myself to admit that my whole neighborhood changed for the better
