The elections to the 1922 committee this time will be especially acrimonious precisely *because* the thread is wrong- the 1922 will set the terms of the contest and this will obviously shape the outcome of the contest.

Also, it's elections to the '22 Executive, the Committee is all the MPs has been since it was founded (in 1924 IIRC, I forget) I thought I'd go see if I could politely correct but there are SO MANY WRONGNESS I mean, it's still going to be funny to watch

Yeah there are Tories arguing over how to elect a leader when they haven’t even argued over the 1922 yet. There’s a LOT to sort out, it’s all intertwined and it’s a messy time to do so. It’s sort of easier when the rules are set. Will this all impact who takes shadow front bench roles?
