I need someone to explain to me why Al Franken had to resign, but Matt Gaetz is still in Congress. Explain it to me like I’m in kindergarten.

Easy one is a Democrat and the other is an a-hole otherwise known as a Republican.

IMO, it's because dems still think the rules matter more than the outcome.

Because a few of Franken's colleagues knew he could get the Dem nomination and they wanted it. Franken ASKED for an investigation and he DESERVED one... AND I THINK HE SHOULD RUN AGAIN!

Because it’s no longer the body it use to be, one with decorum and actual rules. Why hasn’t Menéndez resigned? Why hasn’t Boebert after her little theater stunt? Much like the current Supreme Court, they believe they’re above the law or rules.

Very simply, one side has morals and ethics, one side has none.

There are some people who want others to walk all over them. Democrats are those people.

He should not have resigned. Kirsten Gillenbrand forced that issue. I don't know all of it but I think he grabbed a few asses and there was the joke he did to a sleeping woman on a plane. I think most pretty innocuous based on gaetz and trump shit.

One is a Democrat who actually have a moral high ground which is resented by those that do not, the other is a Republican narcissist whose only morals are me, me, me.

Al didn't have to resign. He made that choice. Either Al knew an investigation would turn up something that hadn't yet been revealed and didn't want to drag anyone through that, or he thought it would damage the party and he cared about that, or, possibly both. Gaetz cares about no one but Gaetz.
