I agree I think having simply age ranges is about the only information you need when talking ages. Exact numbers are the kind of information people might use inappropriately lol

Lotsa truth to that. Age helps with characterization but that can also apply to a character who's ageless who's destined to act a certain age forever

I typically go for my characters being in a certain "age range", but never disclosing their specific number. I don't think about it too hard because it's not really that important to me (and because I know there are weirdos out there)
