I think that it is in such a low orbit that it has to be periodically boosted to counteract the drag of the extreme upper atmosphere, so parking things in orbit for a long time isn’t all that feasible.

Yeah, I just wonder since it is effectively the same as cropping in post. I guess if you were going straight to jpg, that would be useful. I think some cameras might have faster burst rates in DX mode too.

Yes, it was brutal. On the way back I stopped at a hotel in Missouri for the night. I’m 6’4” and did this in an Acura TSX with a manual transmission. I could barely walk when I got there.

A blog I just wrote about photographing on a gray morning at the wildlife refuge. I chose a desaturated look for my photos. Looks a little desolate, but the place teems with life. A great solitary dawn hike.
