Good news from, of all places, Arkansas: an amendment to the Arkansas constitution has gathered enough signatures to be on the ballot. It will restore abortion rights up to 18 weeks, for any reason. Polling says it WILL pass in November as long as people vote.

The thing about TNG that most annoyed me was that every damn one of the main crew was the best of their kind and THEY barely survive half the time. The rest of Starfleet must go through starships like potato chips. They even have the best damn BARBER in Starfleet. They SAID so.

Government needs to remember, when they fail, people will go AROUND them. Here in Texas, where the power companies' systems are unregulated and unreliable in every sense (except billing; THAT system NEVER goes down), people are tracking power outages in the Houston area using Whataburger maps.

If this is money already spent, it sounds like you have two choices: 1. give them away now before the stories are confirmed, which could take years, letting people decide if THEY want those books or not. 2. hold on to them, hope the stories are wrong, and be willing to delete them if they're not.

My father's basement has 3 parts: a finished and carpeted TV room with a fireplace; a semi-finished big room with a regulation pool table, small bar, etc.; and an unfinished work area housing the washer, dryer and a small handyman shop including a tablesaw and more tools than "This Old House."

I still rewatch the first 3 seasons once in a while, fastforwarding through large parts just to see the Rev Bem bits and the Tyr Anasazi bits. The Wayists and the Nietzcheans were fascinating extremes to me.

True. I do appreciate when show runners put out what WOULD have happened in a cancelled show, to give a little closure to their fans. A short-lived Matt Bomer TV show called "Traveler" did that. And the creator of "Andromeda" put out HIS plans for the show before Fabio-Hercules took it over.

"Forever Knight" had a vampire child in season 2. By the time they brought her back for season 3, she'd grown so much, they had to hide it with weird camera angles and even LaCroix had to say "If I didn't know better, I'd say you'd grown."

Did you ever see the TV movie which combined vampire legends with an immigrants-in-America story (Carpathian-Americans)? "Blood Ties" (1991). Your comment got me thinking about vampire children & I remembered the movie. Hokey as hell, but probably worth watching once if you like vampire-type movies.

Proof the GOP has no actual patriots: If Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio had dropped out after Trump won his first state because those two split the "relatively sane GOP" vote, 1 of them would've been President. But neither wanted to give up & kept splitting the vote & Trump won, and here we are now.
