All this needed to do was be better than 3 (very low bar) and resist some of the worst tendencies of legacy sequels (much higher bar), thankfully it does! I imagine it took a lot of fighting to not make a gratuitous banana in the tailpipe reference. Anyway, it’s enjoyable if you like the others.

Highly recommend both of these “indie” movies available to rent. One is a hostage thriller and the other is a coming of age romcom. (I’ll let you guess which is which.) The only thing they have in common is a very, shockingly dark third act.
