And ok, the real answer is... Whales. Mobile game pricing is catered towards the people that will spend money like it's just paper. Why convince 100 people to give you $5, when you can convince 1 person to give you $1000?

I will never understand pricing models for gacha games. Like the base game is free and I'm genuinely enjoying it, would be totally ok to pay a bit to support it. But then they give so little... Like $10 for a sub 1% chance at the one character I want. I just... Why?!?

IMO that mindset is locked into a numbers game. "But on x, I get more likes and RTs (big PP stimmies)! I have no choice!" I understand artists and business that need the traction, but god is exhausting to constantly be fighting an algorithm and Content overflow for attention.
