Exactly this. That Proj. 2025 is even a conceivable reality is the result of decades of lesser-of-two-evils "this is a vote to save democracy" attitudes, followed by post-election complacency. Unless that cycle changes, in the future, things like P2025 will seem like the BETTER option by comparison.

To add: If you truly don't have space for physical media, learn how to use Handbrake and other tools that can help you convert your physical library to digital media. A hard drive full of MP4s that you completely own has the advantage of digital convenience without the disadvantage of bullshit DRM.

Someone in a local chat told me to stop "unfairly generalizing" AI users because of what the visible ones do. I told them AI is a technological mediocrity that was invented to circumvent ethics and effort, and that the few who DON'T use it that way are only exceptions that prove the rule.

I've found that a good starting point is to pick ONE easy but visible thing to insist on doing every day, even if you do do nothing else. For me it's making my bed. And once I started doing that, other stuff just started naturally following for me. And it does make a huge difference.

Star Fox is usually a blank slate (and when it's NOT, it's either gimmicky unplayable controls, or painfully juvenile writing, or both). I've often thought that fans do Star Fox far more justice than Nintendo ever does. And this post hits the nail on the head as to exactly why that's the case.

Speak for your goddamn self. I became a new homeowner in late 2019, just before the market went completely insane. My home is worth nearly twice what it was in 2019. I would gladly see it go back down if it meant someone else could experience the same joy as I did the day I moved in.
