One of my favorite ongoing bits with my partner is the "dowries" we both came with. For example, marrying them earned me a big jug of Barge glue. Part of my dowry was a nice set of woodworking clamps. Let these two cosplay houses be merged.

I am begging people who complain about taxes to understand that salaries, bonuses, etc. are determined with taxes in mind. If your current salary is 75k, and we suddenly lived in a world without taxes, do you think employers would magically keep you at 75k? Bet not! ANY excuse to give you less!

My Nami 15th Anniversary One Piece costume has been the worst kind of cosplay journey. EVERY choice I have made, I have disassembled and changed. Shoulders- too big. Gold bias tape- too thick. Embellishments- should be vinyl instead of painted. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY EASIEST DRAGON CON LOOK.

We make jokes about how dystopia is a lot more boring in reality than all the books we had to read in high school made it out to be. I think what we're forgetting is that the part we're in now - where the characters might have stopped it & didn't - is the backstory of these books, not the story.
