Biden can be replaced and have the replacement win is wishful thinking. At least some ballots are set. GOP committed to making it as hard as possible to replace him. Faithless electors would not save us, instead just put the election in front of this Supreme Court.

Geplacing Biden seems like a good idea. Unfortunately it is not. GOP will make it as hard as possible to replace Biden. Unlikely anyone but him can get enough electoral votes. Faithless electors don't save us with laws against it, meaning the Supreme Court will get to step in again.

While it is true that we could have faithless electors where Biden was still on the ballet instead of replacement, remember there are now laws about faithless electors. Supreme Court would get the case to decide, which given the current court seems like a very bad idea.

GOP has already committed to making it as difficult as possible to replace Biden, especially in swing states. Some states have already finalized ballets, or will shortly, so only Biden will appear there. Could Dems replace Biden? Yes. Can they possibly get enough electoral college votes? Unlikely.

looking back, i tried to do the best with the gender i was dealt because i legit didnβt know i had any other options. i was such a depressed little kid & teenager though. i was extremely dysphoric & had no way to understand what was happening. forcing any child to experience that pain is evil.

This is only the start. With Chevron deference being overturned all Federal agency policies are at risk. Past or future.

For ballet access. 14 states passed deadline. 6 independent deadline passed. 3 more have deadlines next 2 weeks. Write-in has bans, deadlines, or nothing. Biden Harris set to be on ballets, but how many still can be changed? In key states? Is it even mathematically possible for another dem to win?

Sure maybe they are right. But the damage might already be done. Jail the opponent at the right time and their campaign could be hopelessly derailed. Sure they got out on a technicality eventually, but they still end up unelected.

Not only that but with ballets finalized, or about to be finalized, it could mean that there are not enough electoral votes for whoever was pick to actually win.

Even if you protest legally, be aware your posts will be used against you. Arrest and then find something to charge people with probably by hiring companies who specialize in tracing people's social media presence.

No I did not watch the debates. That said I'd like a candidate who really reflects what I want. Not the "oh SHIT! that guy better not win!" forcing me to vote for whoever most likely could beat them. Especially when the best thing going for them is they aren't the other guy.

There is likely not a realistic path for any Democrat other than Biden to win against Trump. Too many ballets have been finalized, or will be finalized soon, likely leaving too few for anyone other than Biden. Polling data say no else has a chance anyway. It might suck, but we're stuck.

Shit. Courts no longer defer to experts in Federal agencies on interpretation of laws. Seems likely increased load on all federal courts, including The Supreme Court. And all regulations will take longer to implement because someone is always unhappy with them and will sue.

Seems likely to me that this will slow down all federal regulation regardless of who is in power or how clearly legislation is written, while also increasing loads on all federal courts including The Supreme Court. No legislation is perfectly written and is always open to interpretation.

Courts no longer need to defer to the experts in Federal agencies on their interpretations of ambiguous or unclear laws. Executive branch now has less power to implement policy, as these interpretations are how it has been done for 40 years.

Sure. But only if it succeeds in putting 1/2 the work force out of work so they starve to death. Or everyone dead from an AGI going rogue. Current models just look like better application of statistics to get better output, which is not AGI. AGI is required for his vision, probably. Maybe.

Agreed. We need drastic action now. AMOC could collapse anywhere from 2025 to 2095 with some models (previously not until after 2100). Think 18F drop in average Europe temps within a century and more modest rises south. Food production will greatly suffer and whole ecologies die.

Looking at all climate change is hard, anxiety inducing, and depressing. But on a positive note Frances ban on short-haul flights with 2.5 hour train alternatives is a start (bunch of exceptions though). The European Commission said it was legal too.

We have had an excruciatingly hot June, after not having much of a winter at all. Long term goals are fine, I guess, but our government needs to do something NOW. This YEAR. This MONTH. And it has to be something better than telling us to shut off our A/C's.

Makes it harder for women. Unless you are an abuser, will make divorce worse for everyone. Divorce will be harder, take longer, cost more money, and private matters may have to be entered into the court record. We went through this before and while no-fault isn't perfect, it is better.
