It's worth noting that 'despair' is meant in an old and specific way in Catholic doctrine. It's voluntarily giving up hope of salvation. It's not just generic despair or, ugh, doomerism, and it's definitely not depression, which isn't voluntary.

Maybe it's that I haven't had to listen to TFG much for the last three years, but it seems worse. Not that there are more lies, per se, but they're even less plausible and more ridiculous. OTOH, I had no expectations that the moderators would do anything useful at all. It's all a shit show.
