I’d just like it if we could cross the bar thats on the floor that we deserve assumed innocence until proven guilty instead of how the opposite is the assumed institutional stance on trans people but that seems to much to ask

I think what hurts the most is that in the end it feels like too many cis people may think that transphobes hold bigoted bad opinions but that distrust and a weariness of trans people is a perfectly respectable position to have in general and reasonable to codify in law

Back to what I said earlier, why Komugi makes a great focus for the moodiness is her puppy-like good nature, innocence and simplicity. Her being introduced to the concept of 'extinction' for the first time, not really understanding it, and asking such child-like questions, is quietly heart-breaking.

A lot of comparisons between Britain and France lack particular context which is that, Britain replaced its right wing to far-right party with a right wing party. France may well have defeated its far-right with a diverse left-of-centre coalition.

I've seen this said by others as well, but really Labour's victory cannot in any reasonable sense be seen as a move to the left when its leadership has been consistent in claiming they will keep Tory policies going and the party as a whole has purged its left wing before the elections.
