I haven't looked forward to shabbat and unplugging from social media this much in months! The vibes are absolutely rancid!
I'll see y'all tomorrow night, hope you've all taken a chill pill by then.

Nothing would be funnier than Trump having a heart attack (or better yet, a stroke) on live TV, preferably at a really, even more preferably within 5 minutes of talking about Biden's health.

Obviously the problem isn't the scrutiny, that's a good thing. It's the total lack of proportion between the scrutiny over his debate performance and the (total lack) of scrutiny over the fact that Trump is setting himself up to be a dictator on day one and SCOTUS just handed him the keys to do it!

IMO the biggest problem with Biden's age is the fact that Trump wants to be a dictator on day one and it doesn't look like there's anything or anyone in our institutions that are willing or able to stop him.

Yeah, I'm now feeling pretty okay about a switch to Harris if Biden is fully and enthusiastically on-board with the plan and throws all his support behind her.

You think FEWER people will not vote this time?
2020 broke a record for historically highest turnout by like 5%, I highly doubt we'll see such numbers in a reelection year (granted we'll probably see more than a regular reelection year because people are terrified of a Trump win).

Yeah at this point I'm like this is beyond my paygrade, let the people who's job it is to decide figure out what's best so the rest of us can do our damndest to make sure Trump doesn't get elected in November.

The Gemara says that when someone has a bad dream they should find someone to interpret it in a good way, so I'll assume this means your parents are going to become a lot more supportive of your mental health, so much so that eventually you will not need your shrink in the picture at all 😊

I know things seem bleak, but once in a while try to focus on the positive, it'll help you maintain your sanity.
For example, currently, Steve Bannon is in prison and Ronald Reagan is dead.

Don't get me wrong, Biden's performance and ability to perform is an important story, but for Josh's sake! At this point in time there are quite a few stories that are FAR FAR FAR more important and they're just being overshadowed by "Biden old"!

The only hint of money in my family is my wife's grandfather who did pretty well due himself.
Unfortunately, he squandered most of it on crypto schemes before his kids realized what was happening and put an end to it.

Yeah there's a tiny bit of backwards force imparted through the wheels via friction, but there's no universe in which you can deliver enough to get even close to countering the force of the jets pushing the plane forwards

Yeah "you can just get a new one" was a common one which demanded a lecture about respecting other people's property again. If they were at the stage where they had some of their own money I would always say they were free to use their own money to get a new one, which they did once or twice...

The good news, like I said, is that it's probably a stage and eventually they'll learn that actions have consenquences.
(The bad news is that they may grow from breaking stuff through carelessness to breaking them on purpose which is a whole 'nother beast 😭)

That's mostly when they break something that's theirs that they like. It's less straightforward when they break something that ISN'T theirs (and especially if it's something they won't miss). I don't know if I have a good answer to that other than a stern lecture and talking-to about respecting...

It's like the inverse of object impermanence; they seem to be under the impression that anything that DOES exist is indestructible and will always exist in its current form and seems kinda surprised when something they just casually smashed against the floor breaks.
