My reaction to the Discourse is, as it so often is, "Yes, everyone yelling has a logical, although not necessarily correct, reason for thinking what they think, but there are feelings that precede the reason, and those are what is motivating the yelling."

The new COVID variant seems to be evading immunity from vaccines and past infections. COVID cases are up 250% in NYC. Remember the more you get covid your risk for long covid increases significantly.

I feel this way about coverage of US politics. I only care so much (< epsilon) what the current incarnation of the GOP thinks of what a Democratic presidential administration is doing, and it's way less than how much the NYT, etc., thinks I should.
