I'm 20 minutes into The Beekeeper and so far Jason Statham is on pace to have more 'bee'-related lines of dialogue than Arnold Schwartzenegger had 'ice'-related lines playing Dr. Freeze in Batman & Robin. Only this movie is taking itself seriously, which makes it even funnier.

Update: I went upstairs for a bit today and I heard the door open and close downstairs. My boy had grabbed a shovel (a real one, taller than him) and was heading towards the gate that leads to the park. When I told him it was dangerous, he stressed only our enemies would drown, not family members.

I have two young kids and have been forced to conclude after several viewings of many of the Star Wars films that TFA is probably the Best Introductory Star Wars Film. I want it to be ANH but it is... way slower than I remember. TFA's just a modernization of ANH, but it was sorely needed.

When Wing Commander and Battlefield Earth came out on top of each other, there was a lot of arguments about which was worse. My coworkers were all Originites who hated Chris Roberts and voted for WC, whereas I argued that BE was worse because frankly John Travolta is someone who should know better.
