Right, I think thats the easy part though. Ironicially enough, passing on the presidency is probably an easier thing to do at this point than passing on the nomination. This is all hypotheticals ofc, but theres a process for VP becoming president but I dunno what DNC rules are for nom to new nom

Yeah, I think both can work. I just feel resigning sends a better message. If you are going to do it, go all in. No half measures. Otherwise people will still be talking about whether you are fit to be President until the election.
