tomorrow Dr. King will be celebrated, in part, by the worst people in the fucking world assuring us that he would support their policies of nightmare murder but the good news is you can read his speeches and writing yourself and be utterly blown away by his genius and wild courage

It's odd that pubs like The Atlantic don't feel they have to discuss engineering, or business, or medicine *at all* in order to pronounce about US Universities. Instead the whole discourse is about soc sci & humanities, aka < 25% of undergraduate majors. The synecdoche is weirdly unchallenged. +

The United States is ultimately responsible. They would not be so brazen without its unrelenting support.

Health care or insurance reform were foiled when they were elected so it was a foregone conclusion.

Fascinating: regret rates for trans surgery are so low compared to other surgeries that researchers are asking whether informed consent model used for trans people could help reduce regret for other medical procedures. www.assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

The US is waging war on the poorest Arab country—a country whose people we helped bomb and starve for years in yet another genocide—in order to protect an unfolding genocide in Palestine. The evil of US imperialism has to be eradicated for the world to know peace.

And all these people tripping over themselves to celebrate as if entities genuinely do an about-face after publicly saying they embrace nazis. Like they didn’t even sugarcoat it and claim some hollow free speech argument. They freely said nazis.

Weird how a headline, which sounds like great news and likely the only thing some people will read, doesn’t give one the full picture.

I am fascinated with how Bill Ackman's rampage is making companies freak out and grovel before him because he's a billionaire. This was in response to Business Insider (owned by Axel Springer) reporting on his (definitely a public figure) wife's plagiarism.
