I have indeed had human experience, notably watching/being with the kind which you can't seem to accept: the frailty & irreversible decline of old people. That the NYT and others are obnoxious in their coverage & not demanding trump leave the ticket doesn't mitigate Joe's age & it's effects.

I don't think that's overlooked, bad faith is a core tenet of the GOP at every level of gov't. But if Biden somehow stays on and wins, it isn't a stretch to see him dying in office, and the same situation replies. Best to attack the GOP rudely personally and crassly, go low and often. Attack.

Outside of pro Biden echo chambers, of course there are reservations. You can't wish internal polling away or pretend that this doesn't resonate with undecided voters. We are already decidedly anti trump, but by ourselves, Biden will lose.

Like it or not, the pundit class isn't entirely wrong and this article greatly diminished the nature of Biden's performance. He didn't just "sound" off. Throughout the debate his mouth was agape, eyes averted or in an offstage gaze. It was obvious that he looked unwell, and when it counted.
