What's surprising to me is that there's not a more prominent/well-funded/popular movement in certain states/regions for exit of some sort. (Not necessarily succession, federalism would seem to give us many alternatives short of that.) If I were still in Cal, I would 100% be part of that movement.

I’ve been thinking this exact thing for a while. The most powerful (richest) people all think they can keep pushing everyone and there’s no limit? The trajectory is unsustainable. And in a population of 330 million people, there WILL be people with deadly capabilities who snap.

I think this is where their fabulism around war - like the Iraq War and "bomb bomb bomb Iran" - is instructive. They think they'll be greeted as liberators! It's the same narrow scope self-delusion. Anyone who says otherwise must be a Frenchman.

The Supreme Court majority is composed of of people puffed up with arrogance, entirely unmerited, and clearly they believe that they can refashion the country in their image without much social unrest or friction, let alone open rebellion.

Yes, thank you for being brave enough to point this out. We all need to keep pointing it out. This is the danger, they are painting people into a corner in which there will be only two options, violence or acquiescence. Just because we’ve chosen the latter since the 60s doesn’t mean we always will.
