I'll openly admit I didn't think he'd ever get convicted, but whether it actually costs him anything significant (freedom, his campaign, etc) remains to be seen If the universe is listening, I'd really like to be proven wrong about that too, okay?

This wasn't even the homerun case in theory. I think it's really showing how hard the system is working on behalf of Trump in the documents case, J6, and election interference. He should have been facing all of that this year.

I'm cautiously optimistic about it, but I think the strongest arguments against the case were always things that would more likely tank it on appeal, not prior to trial. But I guess we'll see what the First Department says, and whether he gets bail pending appeal.
