Why should Biden be damaged by bad press coverage when Trump isn't? This is why. It's a graph from Yochai Benkler's "Network Propaganda" showing the lopsided US media environment. Conservatives live in a separate epistemic network created by right-wing media. There is no left equivalent.

To clarify, because, if he succeeds, I think the campaign continues to bleed out for weeks before ultimately succumbing. If he fails tonight, we have a better chance of getting Harris installed in time, IMHO. Don't hate me, we all want the same thing, we just have different ideas how to get there.

I don't really think the way the major media orgs have responded to Biden's debate performance has been at all fair, but nonetheless, it's happened, and I just don't see how this campaign, which was predicated on peeling off middle class suburbanites, persists in the face of it.
