Boston is supposedly getting “its first cat cafe” soon in Beacon Hill (was supposed to open in March, still isn’t tho)…

Just had a weird little moment, I’m on my way to the dentist, about to cross the street. I hear a woman speaking and was like “wow that person really sounds like Katie Couric” and then looked over and was like “oh no, that’s just literally Katie Couric.”

So I want to talk about this from the perspective of someone who does professional fact checking as part of my work. For some years now I have been paid to check TV and written content themed around animals to make sure it is factually accurate. Chat GPT & AI has made that job so much harder.

They ended The Good Wife by having Christine Baranski literally slap Julianna Marguiles in the face and then they did it again figuratively with an entire spin-off that basically ignores her existence, it is pretty great.

I feel like The Good Fight needs to get a push for people to watch it, it’s basically a list of Republican crimes and it is delivered by the iconic Audra McDonald and Christine Baranski, plus the bonus of having zero Julianna Marguiles from The Good Wife. Gets you caught up for Elsbeth, too.

This was way back in 2008. They would even leave greeting cards like “sure you don’t want those reviews gone?” The store I worked at was going out of business so it did not give a fuck about reviews, which made all interactions very fun for me. “We don’t care. Go ahead and give us negative stars!”

Sometimes I think about how a certain online review website used to send its employees into neighborhoods to go door to door to shops and restaurants to bully them into getting bad reviews taken down for money. I worked at a place they did this to, it was wild, basically a protection racket.

Good reporting on an entirely predictable problem. Fun fact: Airbnb also covers up thousands of sexual assaults every year! Its internal safety team has "cool-down rooms" to take a break from the trauma of what they hear. It's a bad company, a bad industry, and people should just stay in hotels.
