They're all afraid of being shunned for not writing the perfect book about The Experience Of Being A Woman when... literally no one is asking them to. All they have to do is write a story where the main character happens to be female and doesn't breast boobily and tit downward.

He may very well be guilty. He's definitely skeevy and squicky if even one third of what they said is true. But it's extremely important to know for sure! Beyond a reasonable doubt, even!

Asking for a second reliable source that is not a TERF maven is not condoning abuse, it's just basic fact checking, and it's worrying that so many supposedly leftist people are so willing to throw justice and due process to the winds to sate their bloodlust.

Push button behind the lid is pretty common when the tank is in-wall. Being able to push the button by leaning on the lid is... less so. Probably startled a lot of people on the first use.

I wonder if those harsh reviews I keep hearing about come from the fact that people finished it in two days? OK, maybe it's not Shadowbringers redux, but that's like funneling food into your gullet and then complaining that you can't taste anything and your stomach hurts.

It's the "what is a sandwich" question all over again. Some substitutions are fine, but if you switch _everything_ in a recipe then you're just making a different dish. 😛 But yeah, the lasagne sheets are usually made with eggs and flour.

It's not a dish of my region but far as I know pasta con le sarde is not done with lasagne or other egg pasta. Not saying it can't be done but it sounds odd in an old collection of traditional dishes.

There's lots of unwritten rules for unspecified reasons. Like, you'd only do prosciutto e melone with crudo , but not with baked ham. Or, veggie lasagne are fine (although they're awfully close to a parmigiana) but seafood lasagne is a huge faux pas. 🤷

Man, this last season of Doctor Who sucked so hard for me. I couldn't get into the Doctor, the companion, the side characters, the stories, anything. Everything I feared about RTD's return was there times a hundred. I'm grateful he revived the series in 2005 but he's just scraped butter now.

I've had so many misunderstandings on those topics with American friends over the years, loud patriotism in particular because over here it's a Huge Red Flag and over there it's just... a regular thing. In general, we tend to show love by nagging loudly rather than with straight-out praise.
