Why are things turning to shit? Post-Covid - the "essential workers" received nothing but words. The gardaí, nurses and junior doctors, shelf packers, delivery drivers... nothing. Anyone deemed "essential" after the pandemic had "passed" should have received a tax-free windfall - 2k, 1k euro.
