It frustrates me when people express relief that far-right candidates received ONLY x% of the vote. Five years ago, far-right candidates weren't on the ballot at all. What will it look like in another five years? Sighs of relief and self-congratulation just leads to MORE complacency

I planted flowers this spring (cosmos and zinnias) in my 4yo's favorite color simply so I could give her fresh bouquets all summer she's THRILLED every time best use of a few hours and a couple packets of seeds ever; I smell a new family tradition

*somehow no one ever says HOW** coding was performed, just that it WAS (**did you use a codebook? is it available? was the coding inductive? deductive? whose methodology did you crib? if deductive, what theory was your jumping-off point? what software did you use? did you have multiple coders?)

I keep trying to get into it! The problem is probably that I tend to listen to non-fiction podcasts while cleaning/building/farming and fiction podcasts while hiking which I tend to do alone in the woods so multiple times I've started it and gone WHOOPS NO THIS IS A BAD LIFE CHOICE REWIND

yeah, they gave me TYLENOL for my c-section T Y L E N O L after literally crawling across the floor on my hands and knees to care for my crying baby because I was in too much pain to stand upright, I may have called the hospital and HAD WORDS with the dispensing nurse

stay mad. mad gets things done. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that the emphasis that is placed on forgiveness and 'letting things go' (especially for women) isn't for our own benefit but rather a way of making resistance (which is so often fueled by fury, right?) socially unpalatable.
