Hey #kidlit illustrators, do you love DRAGONS? I do! I’m looking for an artist who can breathe life into a comedic dragon w/ mass appeal for a new character-driven graphic-reader series (ages 4–6).
Respond here with images and a link to your folio.
Hi, Brian! I absolutely love dragons and this project sounds like a dream come true. I'm repp'd by Taj McCoy at Rees Agency. Thank you for your consideration!
Hello! I'm afraid I don't have any dragon pieces to share but I love illustrating any animalistic character. Is it okay if I at least share some dinosaurs as "close enough"? website: alaflora.art
Absolutely! I'm a proficient artist who can create different types of art, including daylight thumbnails. Would you like to work together on a project?^3
Dragons are my jam! Here's a collection of a few of mine. I'm happy to share more. I have illustrated several PBs with dragons. I would love to have the opportunity to work on this fun project and breathe life into more dragons and more dragon stories! www.tracivanwagoner.com
I'm more of a self driven and fantasy illustrator rather than kidlit, but I absolutely LOVE dragons and would be happy to contribute in some way whether it be illustration or design. Throwing my hat in the ring and honestly using this thread as a recs list 💚
Hi Brian, I'm an experienced cartoonist who's done a lot of dragons. I'm developing the bookwyrm piece below into a 4 page comic for a magazine right now.
Hi Brian, I don't have finished illos more than a book wyrm, but we spend a lot of time reading about and drawing dragons as they're my oldest daughters favorite animal. And birds are related to lizards. I have an opinionated rooster. 😆
I draw a lot of dragons! Most of my art is geared towards a much older audience, but I can easily adapt my style for that age range (as I have worked on children's books and other projects with a younger audience in mind).
Oh! I might actually be a good fit for this one if you want wonky lines and expressive characters. My debut early reader graphic novel series, Duck & Moose was just published by Disney-Hyperion, and I'm a dragon fan!
Hi Brian, I do love dragons - and graphic readers! I am attaching a dragon and possum themed wrapping paper pattern I designed for a local bookstore, and a small zine I made to tell a story. My website is limping behind a little, but here it is: www.tatjanamaiwyss.com thanks!
While this is a dinosaur, I could surely add wings and it would look like a 🐉. 😂 I’ve been wanting to illustrate a graphic reader! katiedwyerillustrations.com
Submitting my site - illustration.shirleyvting.com I have some dragons- more representational than stylistic. I don't want to post samples here I haven't glazed. Upset with all the AI and the 'grab' wherever.
Hey Brian, here are a couple of dragons I have in the digital sketchbook and a very stubborn dragonfly who insists on being included. My work, for now, is on IG as @bearedwards (I’m working on the portfolio site!). Thanks.
Oh ME!! I’m a cartoonist focusing on silly stories for middle grade and younger audiences. My portfolio is at MazieLovie.com but here’s a few dragons (and adventurers)!
Hi Brian, I was so excited to read this invitation to share some dragon art! I love drawing dragons! My portfolio is at Autumnseybert.com (now with MOAR DRAGONS) and here are some examples of my sweet and silly dragons
Hi Brian, Thank you for the open call! I don’t have much dragon work at the moment, but I’d love to be considered if there’s a fit. Thanks so much!! www.artoftoshi.com/illustration
Okay, I'm going to be brave and throw my name in the ring. 😅 I just did a quick dragon mock up when I saw this post since I don't have much of a portfolio yet. I do have SOME art here: heybrookebaum.com
Hey Brian!
Yeah sure I would love to help you out can you share more details about your work? If yes, feel free to connect with me on discord or via email me<3
Links in bio.
The first three images are dragons created for chapter book projects, while the final frog and firefly image is how I might design characters for a younger audience.
I’m not sure how this works as I’m new to this platform. But I’ll say that I would absolutely love to create a funny little dragon! I’d be thrilled to be considered.
Hi, i drew them through all highschool. One of my favorite subjects. Let me see what I got from these last years. I'll add a caiman to the mix so you see narration, and a loch ness monster (now I want to skech more) More at dolokecki.com And my Astound page astound.us/publishing/d... Thanks!
I love drawing dragons, especially funny ones. Here are a couple I have drawn- some are sketches for a dummy book. You can find my portfolio at www.shawnajctenney.com/illustrations#kidlitart
