It’s a similar premise to why there isn’t “conservative satire” - it’s hard to make fun of people wanting healthcare. It just ends up sounding mean. What visual art are you going to create that doesn’t end up looking like a hate banner? Pick a medium and it’s just going to look or sound awful.

This was “User Error / Damage” but like I said, what happens when they just simply say We don’t support this software / We don’t make those batteries to fit that car / It’s obsolete Ten years is a long time in technology. In cars it’s really not. It took 8 years for that $17,000 iwatch.

Yeah but the problem with Tesla is that it’s not “look how much it controls” it’s that the software controls EVERYTHING.
You don’t even have a key to put into an ignition to turn it on. It literally becomes a gigantic brick.

What the framers did NOT see was the concept of one of the two parties no longer wanting the basic concept of the government they were creating. It’s really hard to plan a democracy with checks and balances, for a political party embedded in all three branches actively attempting to tear it down.

Typically collectors get a classic car from 40? 50? years ago, they put gas in it… tada! It runs!

Classic American political dialogue is premised on the idea that we share fundamental values but disagree on how best to promote them. I haven’t believed this for a while. Other than “I prefer to be alive and not dead” and “I like pudding,” I do not share values with these people.

This was a marketing campaign. Obama was also an orator to balance that. Donald Trump is a brand in and of himself. In this age that’s what wins (or loses). Joe Biden only won in 2020 because Trumps overall human qualities are simply that god-awful.

Jon Stewart always dismissed presidency because he wasn’t a politician and people know better than him. But we go to a place (the senate) where the average age is 64 and the approval rating is 12% (!) So at this point, the concept of a “President” and who fills that job needs to be rethought.
