my advice to everyone is just make something analog, doesn't matter what, just create something new with your hands and brain doesn't need to be inspired, doesn't need to be good even- just making something flips switches in your brain and makes life better

Amanita phalloides is SO NUTRITIOUS that eating a single bite is enough to FEED YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, which, in practical terms, is about 6-8 hours on average. (this is the death cap mushroom, which has a 50% case fatality rate, please do not eat.)

Not very good photos but there’s a Rose Breasted Grosbeak visiting the feeder with interesting feather patterns. The wing edges and tail are brown rather than black. Hybrid possibly? 🪶 #birds

I try to remember that whenever we talk about how much of a fucked up horror show the world is, what we mean is that the world is full of good people being wronged and beauty being destroyed, that we risk losing all of it—not a denial of the good in the world but its affirmation.
