Yeah. Life happens. But man. It sometimes feels like it happens at the worst times. This is like Furality all over again. I bought a pass for last year, arranged to have some time to enjoy it, then starting Friday evening, multiple disasters struck and I missed it all. This too shall pass...

I'm looking at all the beautiful art people are putting out, I've been attacked twice, I'm stuck folding laundry and doing med runs, and I feel that green jealousy monster I've been fighting my whole life. It's not a side of me I like. I may disappear for a couple days to guard my mental health.

Okay, low-key frustrated. All I want to do right now us Art Fight. I'm craving it. But all the other adults in my house right now are sick, injured, or both, so between their care, taking care of the kids, and doing most of the chores or dinners, I haven't had a minute to draw in two days. Ughh.

Fun fact: I once showed up to a corporate Zoom meeting (that included the CEO and most of the executives) wearing a Starfleet uniform because I thought it would be funny. AND IT WAS. I really miss that place.

I'm on the phone with a technical support line, and I'm TOTALLY NOT SURE whether I'm speaking to a robot. The rep's responses are super formulaic, and there's some audio hitches that suggest audio synthesis, but there are enough ums and pauses to suggest human. If it's AI, it's a really good one.

I would absolutely love to be able to earn regular extra income through art rather than through freelance tech support in my off hours. Don't get me wrong, I'm great at the tech gig, but man, art is so much more enjoyable. I just need tiiime for practice and creating and getting my work out there.
