There is not going to be chaos if he pulls out. This is not the 1960s or 1970s.

He must not run and he must release his delegates. There is only one thing more terrible than a Trump presidency. It is a Trump presidency with a Republican led Senate and House. Trump already has a wired Supreme Court ! This could be the future if he continues in this race.

Also I'm tired of the bs narrative that somehow Biden is too old/feeble and no one is actually talking about Trump in the same way or all his many many other flaws.

It would be a bad move, and pretty much guarantee Trump wins. Too much chaos would keep voters away, not enough time to get to know a new candidate and prob fuck w/ fundraising. The last time an incumbent did this we got Nixon. Let him stay the course, (hopefully) and then retire if he wants.

The NYTIMES is dying for that to happen so it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they made that up.

Yeah but the NYT is also apparently gagging for Trump to come back, likely enough to the extent they'd stretch their journalistic values to report gossip that damages Biden.

I sincerely hope this is bad info. Of course, I lost faith in @nytimes.com in 2016 when the response to every Trump outrage was “but her emails”. Now I find them disingenuous and useless. They just want sensationalism

Only problem is that Harris would need to bow out too. She’s unlikely to beat Trump but would be granted a coronation as the Democrat candidate. Newsom and Whitmer would be formidable

I strongly suspect this a red herring designed to give a narrative wings with the hope of a desired outcome. The question being who's red herring is it? Somebody in/around the WH or someone in the NYT?
